Our Services: As the Works Progress

Contract Administration Services

Deciding on the correct Contract Management Strategy is essential for any construction contract, but success will not be secured unless the strategy is implemented progressively throughout the execution of the contract. Successful implementation and control relies on an excellent standard of Contract Administration.

At the very least, this should ensure that the appropriate letters and notices are issued and effective project records kept, to preserve and prove entitlement. The wider benefits of the function include firm and successful evaluation and negotiation of arguments, claims and changes as they arise and timely and effective project close-out, with requiring retrospective analysis at the end of the project.

An increasing number of clients are recognising the advantages of appointing Claims Management Consultants from the commencement of a project, so that Contract Administration and surveillance can be supplemented throughout the course of the works.

We strongly advocate this type of service which can provide immeasurable benefits to a client through being able to reduce claims and dispute exposure and to allow their project teams to concentrate on driving the project forward rather than becoming distracted and consumed with debating and resolving historical events and disputes.

To obtain these benefits, many of our clients appoint Richard Burke Partnership to provide Contract Administration services throughout the life of their project (whether for the overall project contract, or sub-contract element). We are predominantly engaged to supplement the clients’ existing project management teams, by placement of our individual professionals or teams at the project site, at the client’s home office, or a combination of locations.
